#129: Rebel Rags case update; big basketball wins – 01/18/19
Description
The Rebel Rags defamation lawsuit will move forward, and Parrish has the latest on that case in this week’s episode (1:35 ). And Logan has a strong take on the merits of the case.
From that court, the guys move to the basketball court to recap some big wins by both schools from the past week. The Ole Miss men got a statement win for first-year coach Kermit Davis by beating MSU on the road (12:24 ). The Rebels then lost to LSU at home and have Arkansas up next.
MSU bounced back by beating Florida for its first SEC victory (17:21 ). The road gets no easier, as four of the Bulldogs’ next five games will be played away from Humphrey Coliseum, including Vanderbilt on Saturday and Kentucky on Tuesday.
On the women’s side, MSU won a showdown with South Carolina (21:20 ) despite losing forward Chloe Bibby to an injury early in the contest. And the Ole Miss women scored an upset by beating Kentucky for its first SEC win (23:06 ).
